**This is a 2 day course consisting of Day 1 classroom portion and Day 2 range portion** **Fingerprinting services will be available during class for MD/AZ** ----- Day 1 Classroom Portion starting at 9am TBD **Confirmed location provided the Monday before class** Columbia, MD Day 2 Shooting Range starting at 9am Guntry Club 10705 Red Run Boulevard, Owings Mills, MD, USA ----- Curriculum Summary Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training. This approved Concealed Carry Permit class will accomplish the proper training to obtain permits for MD, VA, FL, DC, PA and AZ and conceal carry in 38+ states which includes instruction on state firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant to demonstrate gun safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy. **Shooting portion will be scheduled with the instructor after completion of the classroom instruction** All applicants must shoot a course of at least 50 rounds, from no further than 15 yards and score at least 70% accuracy. **Additional $40 range fee will be collected the day of the scheduled shooting. Will provide firearm to shoot if needed.**
